The Cikananga Conservation Breeding Centre, also named CCBC, has the goal to breed Endemic Indonesian species, threatened from extinction to preserve their integrity (through managed breeding) and release them back into available safe habitats in their geographic range.
Currently, CCBC houses and successfully breeds the Black-winged Starling (Sturnus melanopterus melanopterus), the Rufous-fronted Laughingthrush (Garrulax rufifrons), the Javan Green Magpie (Cissa thalassina), the Sumatran Laughingthrush (Garrulax bicolor) and the Javan Warty Pig (Sus verrucosus).
With the kind support from many institutions all around the world with funding and advice, CCBC became the leader in breeding these species; some of them can be found only in CCBC.
Our work is made possible by the support and material donation of numerous institutions. Thank you from all CCBC Team!
