It all starts with awareness and education: 48 elementary school kids are visiting the Cikananga Wildlife Center for 3 days! Wanicare will teach them about the value of nature, animals, the ecosystem and they will help the keepers under our supervision.
They wanted to learn how the center has nursed animal from an illegal captivity that houses animals for pets, to a center-based conservation organization. Students became engaged in Saving Animals through outing activities in working with our animal keepers. Our volunteer helped the education team with making guidance for the students during the group events taking place in animal park.
Through the program, students also learn about how to care animals that ongoing rehabilitated in the center by feeding on the enrichment methods and performing the green effort with providing leaves and branches inside the socialization cage. In the last of activities they had an opportunity to conduct the evaluation and sharing the experience from Cikananga and Wanicare team.
