At the Cikananga Wildlife Centre (YCKT), our mission to integrate wildlife conservation with sustainable agriculture continues to grow through meaningful partnerships. Following severe weather on 23 January 2026, heavy rains and strong winds caused a tree to fall onto our propagation greenhouse, resulting in significant damage and the loss of critical infrastructure. Through their generous support and rapid intervention, PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk provided high-quality polycarbonate roofing materials and essential construction supplies, enabling the Program Pertanian Berkelanjutan Cikananga (PPBC) to successfully and reconstruct this vital facility.
The propagation greenhouse is a key component of PPBC, allowing us to produce consistent, high-quality crops that directly support animal nutrition. The reconstructed structure now provides a controlled growing environment that improves crop reliability, reduces losses from pests and extreme weather, and strengthens overall production capacity.
Beyond infrastructure, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and community impact. PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk has demonstrated strong engagement in environmental and social initiatives across Indonesia, and their support at Cikananga reinforces the connection between agricultural innovation and biodiversity conservation.
At PPBC, the greenhouse also serves as a living classroom. It is used in our educational programs for local farmers, students, and international participants, where we demonstrate regenerative agriculture techniques, climate-resilient food production, and responsible land stewardship. By restoring this essential infrastructure, we can continue expanding our educational reach and strengthen our role as a demonstration site for sustainable farming in West Java.
